Visitors to the Museum will know that the area around the Cody Statue is now paved with engraved bricks, donated by individuals and organisations in support of the Cody Statue Project.
In a second scheme, launched on 21 February 2015, it is planned to pave a further area outside the Museum fence with engraved bricks -
Donations will be used by FAST to continue its work in preserving the aviation heritage of Farnborough.
Examples of finished bricks can be seen in the Cody Pavilion, where they will be kept on view until we are ready to lay them along the grass verge by the side of the Museum.
Would you like to be part of the fabric of Farnborough?
Perhaps you might:
- Have an association with the RAE, or a relative who was proud to have worked there in the past
- Have been involved with aviation in some other capacity
- Be a resident or company based in Farnborough who would like to commemorate your association here with the donation of a brick.
The brick can be engraved with your name and perhaps significant dates, if appropriate.
All companies with aviation or Farnborough interests who make a substantial donation will also be offered a double brick engraved with their company name, as part of the recognition of their contribution to FAST.
